1 DAY CHIANG RAI TOUR

Have you ever wanted to visit three countries in the one day? Well here is your chance! Why not take part on our one day trip to the Chiang Rai province?

This exciting itinerary includes:

Tour starts

An air-conditioned van will pick you up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai between 7 and 7.30am. You will have the opportunity to relax and take in the scenery as we travel for approximately an hour to our first stop outside of Chiang Mai.

Part one

The first stop on this trip will be to Mae Khachan Hot Spring. Here we will stop for 30 minutes for you to explore the hot springs before heading for The White Temple. We will need to drive for 90 minutes to reach our next stop on this exciting tour, The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). You will have about 30 minutes to take in the splendour of this unique and impressive piece of architecture.  We will then travel for approximately an hour to visit the Golden Triangle and the famous Mae Khong river. The Golden Triangle is where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos overlap. You will have an opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery at the riverside before taking a break for lunch in Mae Sai City.

Lunch

Lunch will be served in the form of traditional Thai cuisine and fresh fruit.

Part Two

After lunch, we will drive for five minutes to the Mae Sai (Thailand-Myanmar) border crossing. Here you will have thirty minutes to take in the scenery. There is an opportunity to enter Myanmar but at a price not included. A one hour drive from here will bring you to a Akha hill tribe village and a Yao hill tribe village. You will have 30 minutes in each location to experience the traditional customs, dress and settlements of these tribal people.

Tour finishes

After visiting the tribal villages, the air conditioned van will take you back to Chiang Mai. It will take about three hours to reach Chiang Mai. You will be dropped to your accommodation safe and sound for a well-deserved rest after a busy day. Arrival at accommodation will be approximately 9-9.30pm.

*Additional trip:

There is an option to take an extra trip at an additional cost. It is possible to take a boat along the Mae Khong River and cross the Laos border at the Golden Triangle. You will have the chance to visit the Don Xao market in Laos.

We provide a one day trek which offers you the perfect blend of fun and fitness. Take in some of the beautiful scenery of Chiang Mai province whilst building in some cardio.

Now for a low-down of this active itinerary!

Day starts

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation in Chiang Mai between 8.00 and 8.30am. Rest-up those legs on the one hour drive south of Chiang Mai to the Mae Wang district. Here your day of trekking commences.

Part one

We will start our day by walking up a beautiful mountain in the Mae Wang district. Here, we will arrive at a Karen hill tribe village. You will have thirty minutes to explore the village and observe the traditional dress and customs of these tribal people. After visiting the village, we will commence our trek. On our journey you can swim and relax at a waterfall stop. After trekking for forty minutes, we will arrive at a Hmong village. You can explore the village and meet some of these fascinating tribal people. We will recommence our trek for another thirty minutes through a jungle area to where the van will be parked and waiting. The next port of call is lunch!

Lunch

After building up an appetite trekking, lunch will be provided. Traditional thai food and fresh fruit will be served.

Part two

After lunch, the van will take you to an elephant camp to experience riding an elephant. You will have the pleasure of spending 45 minutes in the presence of these impressive mammals. Next up is bamboo rafting! We will stop at a bamboo rafting camp where you will spend 45 minutes relaxing on the Mae Wang river. After rafting, your busy day of activity comes to a close.

Day finishes

The air-conditioned van will bring you back to your accommodation safe and sound around 4.00-4.30 pm.

1 DAY LONG NECK VILLAGE

The Chiang Dao district forms part of the Chiang Mai province. Join us on a day of exploring the different tribal groups that populate the Chiang Dao district. Day starts

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation between 8.00 and 8.30am. Sit back and relax on the forty minute drive north of Chiang Mai to the first stop of the day.

Part one

The first stop of this exciting day is the Mae Rim Orchid and Butterfly Farm. You will spend approximately forty minutes exploring the farm. We will then drive an hours' distance to witness some of the tribal people of the Chiang Dao district. You will have an hour in total to explore White Karen, Akha, Lahu, Lisu and Palong hill tribe villages. You will have the opportunity to witness the traditional dress and customs of these fascinating people. The van will then travel to the area of the Chiang Dao Caves, roughly a one hour drive. Here, lunch is served!

Lunch

Lunch will consist of traditional thai food and fresh fruit.

Part two

After lunch is finished, the group will walk into one of the Chiang Dao caves. Spend 30 minutes taking in the sights and sounds of this natural beauty. The group will then travel 30 minutes to the final stop of the day. You will have the opportunity to spend 30 minutes meeting the Karen Long Neck and Big Ear tribes. Observe the fascinating practices of these ethnic groups.

Day finishes

The air-conditioned van will then head for Chiang Mai. You will be dropped back to your accommodation between 5.00 and 5.30pm for a well-deserved rest.

Your day will kick off between 8.00 and 8.30am. An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation in Chiang Mai city. Sit back and relax as you're transported north for an hour's drive to the first stop of the day.

Part one

The first stop of the day is the Maetang Elephant camp. Here you will have the pleasure of witnessing elephants at work and enthralling the crowd by performing shows. You will spend forty minutes enjoying this spectacular display before going on an elephant ride. On this journey, take in the beautiful scenery and visit a Lisu tribal village. An ox-cart will transport you the 20 minute journey back to the elephant camp where lunch is served!

Lunch

A delicious buffet lunch awaits! Eat to your heart's content during this forty minute break.

Part two

After lunch is finished, relax and enjoy forty minutes of bamboo rafting. Once dry land has been reached, the van will take you on a forty minute journey to an Orchid and Butterfly Farm. Here you can spend forty minutes observing the beauty nature has produced. This is the final stop of the day!

Day finishes

After such a busy day, a rest is more than well-deserved. The van will drop you back to your accommodation safe and sound between 4.00 and 4.30pm.

1 DAY DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK

Experience the splendour of one Thailand's most famous national parks, Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon National Park boasts one of the highest mountains in Thailand. A great day awaits!

Now for the exciting itinerary!

Day starts:

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation between 8.00 and 8.30am. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to the local villages and mountainous roads. This drive will take approximately one and a half hours.

Part one:

The first stop will be the Wacirathan waterfall where we will stop for approximately 40 minutes. Following this, you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional Karen hill tribe village before driving towards Sirithan waterfall. Here, you will have 30 minutes to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall before lunch.

Lunch:

Everybody's favourite words; food is served! The lunch will feature traditional thai food and fresh fruit.

Part two:

Once lunch is finished, you will visit a local market run by Meo or Hmong hill tribe people. Just a short distance from the lunch station, you will have 30 minutes to explore the market stalls and local produce. The market features a number of western horticulture plants produced as part of The Royal Project.

You will then visit the King and Queen Pagodas. You will have approximately 40 minutes to walk around and take in the breathtaking scenery. Then we will head for the highest peak in Thailand. Standing tall at an impressive 2,565 meters above sea level. Here you can take a break, go for a trek through the moisturous hill greenery etc.

Day finishes:

You will be brought back to your accommodation safe and sound at 5-5.30pm for a well-deserved rest.

1/2 DAY DOI SUTHEP TEMPLE

Join us on our half-day tour to Chiang Mai's famous Wat Phra Thart Doi Suthep. Visit this sacred temple and take in the breathtaking views of Chiang Mai. You will also have the opportunity to visit a Hmong tribal village. The tour can either be taken in the morning or in the afternoon depending on your schedule.

The tour goes twice a day:

  • 8.30-8.45 am to around 12.00 pm
  • 1.00-1.30 pm to around 4.00 pm

The itinerary: 

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation in Chiang Mai at your selected time slot. Sit back and relax on the 30 minute drive west of Chiang Mai to Doi Suthep Temple (the symbol of Chiang Mai).

Spend an hour exploring this religious site and take in the spectacular views of Chiang Mai from the vantage point. After the temple, the air-conditioned van will take you on a 15 minute drive to visit a Hmong hilltribe village. Explore the village for approximately thirty minutes and witness the unique customs and dress of these people.

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation on the morning of the trip. The van will depart from Chiang Mai around 8.30 am. Sit back and relax as we travel 7 k.m. east of Chiang Mai to the Sankampang province. We will stop at a handicraft village . You will have to the opportunity to see how products made from Thai silk, cotton, silver, jade, lacquerware and bronze are manufactured. You will also see how the umbrellas you see in Chiang Mai are produced.

The air-conditioned van will bring you back to your accommodation for approximately 1.00 pm. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy Chiang Mai and its' various attractions.

2 DAY/1 NIGHT TREKKING

Our two-day-one-night trek offers you the opportunity to complete a number of the attractions synonymous with Chiang Mai in a single trip. This action-packed excursion provides a chance to exercise, meet and ride elephants, visit a waterfall, visit a Karen hilltribe village, stay overnight in the wilderness, visit a Shan village and experience bamboo rafting. The itinerary is as follows:

Trip starts

An air-conditioned van will collect you from your accommodation in Chiang Mai at 9.00-9.30 am. The van will drive for one hour towards a local market to pick-up sufficient food for the trip. Here you will see local produce and market vendors at work. You will then be driven one hour away to your first activity.

Day 1

The first activity of the day will be the elephant camp, located in the mountains. You will spend 90 minutes meeting the elephants and go for an elephant ride. The van will then drive a short distance to a Karen hill tribe village where lunch will be served. After lunch, spend time exploring the village. Learn about the customs, the history and the traditional dress of these tribal people. The trek will start from here through the jungle and towards a waterfall. This portion of the trek will take approximately two hours. Once the waterfall has been reached, you can relax, swim and cool-down after your trek. The group will stay overnight in a bamboo hut near the waterfall. Dinner will be served around 7pm.

Day two

Breakfast will be served around 8.30am. The group will then disembark on a 2 hour trek through the wilderness towards a Shan village. Lunch will be served in the village. The next stop will be a bamboo rafting camp located a ten minute drive away. You will have around 90 minutes of bamboo rafting to enjoy before heading for home.

Trip finishes

The van will then head for Chiang Mai. You will be delivered to your door safe and sound at 4.00-4.30pm.
